Gwanghwamun Sejongro Park will be transformed into a venue for a global gastronomic festival through the large-scale expansion of the K-food festival "KNOCK KNOCK." The Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to expand the event for 10 days from October 3 to 12 and provide unique experiences that combine traditional Korean food and culture to domestic and foreign visitors.

Since May last year, "Nok-Nok," which has been operating at Sejongro Park every weekend (Friday to Sunday) from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., is a food market strategically fostered by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. During the special period of the Chuseok holiday, operating hours will be greatly increased for the convenience of visitors.

It opens early at 1:30 p.m. from Oct. 3-8 and runs from 9 p.m. from Oct. 9-12, and opens from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. as before. It will welcome citizens and tourists for a total of 10 days.

At the venue, menus that reinterpret traditional Korean food will be introduced in a modern way. Fusion Korean menus such as Injeolmi Chicken Gangjeong, Tteokgalbi Burger, and cream cheese dried persimmon roll are expected to captivate not only foreign tourists but also citizens of all generations. "Nuknuk" is expected to become a platform that presents innovative trends in Korean food beyond simple food markets.

The "Nuk-Nuk" festival enhances the completeness of the festival through various traditional cultural experiences and performance programs as well as gourmet experiences. Throughout the event, there will be a space where visitors can enjoy traditional Korean games such as jegi kicking, tuho, and large-sized yutnori.

In particular, on October 3rd to 5th and 9th, a prize event will be held to present tasting tickets and Seoul City's character Hatch doll to participants, which is expected to actively participate.

As a cultural performance, the "Seoul Street Performance Live" stage will be held from 5:30 p.m. for three days from Oct. 6-8. Visitors can enjoy the autumn evening while sitting on a beanbag on the lawn and enjoying live performances such as guitar and accordion performances.

This year's "Nuk-Nuk" will strengthen its character as a global food festival in connection with K-pop Demon Hunters (Kedeheon), an animation that has recently attracted attention in the global market. The Seoul Metropolitan Government recognizes Korean food as the main content of K-culture, and expects the event to serve as an opportunity for both Koreans and foreigners to experience the taste and taste of Seoul.

"Now that the world is paying attention to K-culture due to the Kedeheon craze, Nock Nock will be a special place to enjoy the taste and beauty of Seoul through K-food," said Han Jung-hoon, head of the Small Business Policy Division of Seoul. "I hope all family, friends, and tourists will enjoy traditional games and performances together during the Chuseok holiday."

This "K-Food Festival Enough" is expected to be a symbolic event where K-Food joins the flow of K-culture triggered by K-pop and K-drama.
